What this is

I started Make My Layover Fun in the summer of 2026 to collect the places pilots and flight crew actually go when they're stuck at an airport. Each airport has only a handful of picks. Nothing here is sponsored.

Where the picks come from

When a place says "Recommended by," the pilot or crew member named there suggested it, and their name links to their LinkedIn profile. Photos come from the venues, from crew, or from Creative Commons sources credited at the bottom of each airport page.

Before you go

Gates and opening times change. Check the airport's own map or app before you walk over, and keep an eye on your boarding time.

Privacy

The site itself doesn't use cookies, analytics, ads, or tracking of any kind, and it doesn't collect personal information. The web host may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.

The "Add a pick" form is a Google Form. Anything you enter there, like your name, LinkedIn, and recommendation, goes to Google and to me, and is only used to review your pick and credit you if it's added. Google's privacy policy applies to the form.

Links go to other websites, like restaurants and LinkedIn, which have their own privacy policies.
